Terms of Service
Last updated June 10, 2026
These terms are a binding agreement between you and Guestcard. Please read them carefully — by using Guestcard, you agree to them.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Guestcard website, applications, and services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, responding to an invitation, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Definitions
- Host — a user who creates an event and sends invitations, manages RSVPs, schedules, and gift registries, and decides what content guests can see.
- Guest — a person who receives an invitation and may RSVP, view event details, send gifts, and view curated photos the host shares.
- Event — the wedding, party, or other occasion you manage on the Service.
- Content — invitations, text, images, guest lists, RSVP responses, and other material created on or uploaded to the Service.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of your information, for keeping your account secure, and for activity under your account. Guestcard shares a single sign-in with Pixbox; the same login may work across both products. Notify us at support@guestcard.app of any unauthorized use.
4. The Service
Guestcard is a pre-event hub. Depending on your role, it may include invitation cards, RSVPs, event schedules, gift registries, guest messaging, and curated photo views that a host pushes from Pixbox. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
5. Guest lists and contact information
If you are a host and you upload or enter contact information for your guests, you represent that you have the right to provide that information and to invite those people. You are responsible for your communications with your guests and for complying with anti-spam and privacy laws that apply to you. We process guest contact information on your behalf to deliver invitations and manage your event.
6. Your content and the rights you grant us
You retain ownership of your Content. To operate the Service, you grant Guestcard a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify for technical purposes, transmit, and display your Content solely to provide the Service to you and the people you authorize. You represent that you have the rights and consents needed for the Content you provide, including any images and guest information.
7. Curated photos from Pixbox
Hosts may push a curated subset of event photos from Pixbox to their Guestcard guests. Where facial matching is enabled, guests can opt in by taking a selfie to see a personal “photos of you” view. These features are for organizing and delivering photos only and must not be used for surveillance or to identify non-consenting individuals. Facial-matching data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy and can be deleted on request. AI matching is probabilistic and may be inaccurate.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- send unlawful, infringing, harassing, deceptive, or unsolicited bulk communications;
- upload content that is illegal, infringing, or violates anyone’s privacy or rights;
- misuse guest data or facial-matching features; or
- interfere with, scrape, reverse engineer, or circumvent the security of the Service.
We may remove Content or suspend accounts that violate this section.
9. Gifts and payments
Where the Service supports gifts or contributions, payments are processed by third-party payment providers. Hosts are responsible for the accuracy of their registry and payout details. Pixbox/Guestcard is not a party to the gift transaction between a guest and a host and is not responsible for the underlying goods, funds, or tax treatment, except as required by law. Any platform fees are disclosed before payment. Refunds for paid Guestcard plans, if any, follow the terms shown at checkout and are otherwise non-refundable once access is granted, except where required by law.
10. Intellectual property
The Service — including the Guestcard name, logo, software, templates, and design — is owned by us and our licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service as permitted by these Terms. Feedback you send us may be used freely without obligation to you.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or its users. On termination, the licenses you granted us end (subject to routine backups and legal retention) and Content may be deleted.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Guestcard and Lysensy Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or CAD $100.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Guestcard, Lysensy Inc., and our personnel from claims, damages, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your Content, your guest communications, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or any third party’s rights.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You submit to the courts located in Ontario, Canada, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your home jurisdiction.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will update the “last updated” date above and notify you where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
